Red Jaboticaba in Blue Ceramic
$6,000
10% of proceeds from each purchase will be donated to local Florida wildlife conservation efforts in your name with permission, or anonymously if preferred.
Red Jaboticaba, also known as Red Hybrid Jaboticaba, is commonly associated with Plinia aureana and related hybrids. It is prized for fruiting sooner than many jaboticabas, often within 3-5 years, and for its reddish-maroon berries. The fruit has the character of a complex grape: mildly sweet, gently spicy, and layered with intriguing notes. White flowers appear from the bark and smell exquisite in springtime, or whenever the right conditions are met. A beautiful piece for collectors who want to add a conversation starter in their lanai, on the balcony, at the entrance of an estate, or amongst other living art pieces. Jaboticaba trees are bonsai-friendly and can be shaped over time with the proper tools, pruning, wiring, and technique.
